Ina Garten Favorites
Today, we set out to the 6th (and 7th) arrondissement to visit some of Ina Garten's favorite spots.
First destination is Poilâne, a bread bakery at 8 Rue du Cherche-Midi, 75006 Paris. But right across the street is a Leica store, 13 Rue du Cherche-Midi, 75006 Paris, so we know we're in a nice neighborhood.

On to Poilane, where we are overwhelmed with choice, and leave with some Punitions biscuits, a few slices of sourdough bread, and a linen bread bag.

Next stop is the cheese shop, Barthélemy, 51 Rue de Grenelle, 75007 Paris. Yet another lovely storefront!

The inside, though, seems to offer an infinite variety of cheese to choose from!

Finally, we visit the Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, an upscale department store, 24 Rue de Sèvres, 75007 Paris, in the 7th arrondissement. Opened in 1852, it was one of the first modern department stores. It is currently part of LVMH.

A decade before the Eiffel Tower construction, Le Bon Marché entrusted the engineer Armand Moisant with the task of specifying the technical extensions of his store, in 1879. The result? Armand Moisant developed a metal framework for the department store. Its weight? It surpasses that of the Eiffel Tower. 8000 tons, compared to 7500 for the Iron Lady. The shop that most caught our attention? Well it's hard not to miss, with the dominance of this saturated pink color throughout the shop. It takes a minute to see past the color, and realize that it's a dog store!

Apparently it's much more than a store; it also offers services for the dog, including walks, cuddles, massages, hugs. Oh, Nikki would love to frequent this place!
And thus concludes the Ina Garten tour.
Sainte-Chapelle
I'd read about the incredible stained glass at Sainte-Chapelle, so I decide to check it out - it's within reasonable walking distance from our hotel.
The gift shop is on the ground floor as you enter.

To get to the main chapel requires navigating the narrow circular stairway.

The chapel itself is very small, but the stained glass is beautiful! There are 1,113 stained glass windows in this chapel.

Always remember to look up.

Sainte-Chapelle is next to the Paris city courthouse (Palais de Justice de Paris).
